The entire rental process must have been executed on the platform (Including any correspondence about the tool and payment).

As the tool owner you must take photographs showing the condition of the tool on the day it is rented out to the renter.

When the tool is returned you must also take photographs on the day of return showing the condition of the tool. If the tool is damaged beyond what could be considered wear and tear the photographs must clearly display the damage.

Negotiate a compensation amount with the renter and list a compensation item for the agreed amount for them to purchase. If this is done the process is ended.

If you are unable to agree a compensation amount with the renter send the photographs, details of the rental term, the renters details, and a brief description of the damage and the impact to makerswap@makerswap.co.
